I did live in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Because of needed knee surgery, I moved to Jensen Beach, Florida on February 26th 2001 to be near family who assisted me during the recovery period of the two operations to recap the knees. I will continue to maintain this web site and keep a real interest in the mountain and its trails. I have  been  hiking the Alum Cave Trail to Mt. LeConte about once each month since October 2001 except for months when the trail is snow and ice covered. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You are also requested to submit your experience of hiking Mt. LeConte for posting on this web site.
